Advent Poetry

Fix the flickering light.

Arouse Your hidden might.

My eyes have gone weary.

Our prospect is dreary.

Reset the world aright.

Take notice of our plea.

Restore our long lost glee.

Have pity and astound

The demons all around.

They will turn back and flee.

Dry up the teary face

That longs to receive grace.

Our hearts have been waiting

To move past mere dating.

Sow quick the wedding lace.

Wake up the hills that sleep

Beyond the valley deep.

No one can ever know

When Your glory will show.

You in us vigil keep.
